Hello, I’m Xan.
I believe that everyone deserves beautiful places and that exploring what constitutes beauty is part of working as a landscape architect. Each project is a new opportunity to explore, to ask questions, and to collaborate to make spaces that reflect and enhance what people and places need and desire.
In pursuit of beauty, I collaborate with people, archives, plants, rocks, and nonhumans to reveal existing stories, inscribe new program, and prepare for the future with resiliency.
When not working on landscapes in the office or hanging out with my cat, Lemon, I organize around environmental justice in my community—part of practicing landscape architecture.
