Hello, I’m Sierra.

With a background in visual and performing arts, philosophy, and environmental science, I approach landscape architecture with an eye for translating complex ecological and social dynamics into elegant, ethically grounded designs. From regional masterplans to site design and detail development, I excel at bringing design rigor and conceptual consistency to projects across scales and phases.

My landscape practice is informed and enriched by my ongoing work in film and video arts, speculative fiction, installation and textile arts, and it is rooted in the conviction that beauty, wildness, and ecological richness are essential components of the human habitat, and that access to these is a basic human right. I believe in the power of design to create opportunities for all people and communities to access wonder and delight in the places they live, work, and play.

In my free time, I love to cook, garden, and make things of all kinds. From fermenting to textile dying, there’s always a new hobby calling my name!

Favorite plant: Black Poplar, Populus trichocarpa
